Thought I would put this page together for those who want to cry a wee bit.

    I'll start..............

When engaged in a vigorous Randori session with a 3rd Dan
and Olympic Wrestler, affraid  who just happens to be the most
awkward Left Hander you have ever met, under NO circumstance
should you attempt to hip block an attempted Harai Goshi
with anything other than a completely relaxed body........
the resulting Torn Hamstring from a solid block makes things
such as putting on your socks, a very painful exercise. banghead

Ouch....Unfortunately I know the feeling. How bad is the tear? Do you have a black strip down the back of the leg yet? Don't wear shorts, the resulting conversations are well embarrassing...

well, glad this happened after the Masters....

Happy healing - may you heal quickly, completely, and with as little pain as possible. BTW, I believe they created flip-flops for just such occasions. and slippers. The limp should be a dead give away for anybody who's critical of your wardrobe choices.

I tore an ass muscle on one uchimata. Could barely walk for a week. Could barely tolerate throne time either, a sport my wife says I spend too much time doing. Ha ha!

You know it's bad when the throne room loses its appeal

But it was in shiai and worth it. My opponent crunched under me, which was satisfying.
