Czech judo federation organized judo one day seminar with Mr. Gen Yonenaga in Prague last weekend. He is young japanese teacher, promoted in Nippon Sport Science University in Tokio with focusing to judo teaching/couching. Seminar was focused to NageWaza (Kihon - Kuzushi, Tsukuri ; Uchimata; Seoinage; Ouchigari), right and safety way of teaching Ukemi, Katamewaza / Newaza transitions ( preparing (body synchronization) exercises for good Newaza working), Kumite (some basic ways how japanese judokas fight for getting better grip ).

In the photo gallery from the seminar with Gen Yonenaga is caught some nice moments of the basics of judo. I will try to comment on the chosen photos.

The entire gallery is here - Author Mr. Miroslav Petrik from czech city Tyn nad Vltavou:

Yonenaga shows how Tsurite ( "pushing hand" - collar hand) reels Uke's collar when do Seoinage. This movement is different from Tsurite movement in Koshi-waza. During Seionage is pushing to the side and rolling collar and in Koshi-waza, there Tsurite rises Uke's collar and attracts its.

What intrigued me most? Two things:
1, foots position when he did Tsukuri
2, Rei - carrying bows every time began and ended with exercise demonstrations with Uke

ad 1 foots position when he did Tsukuri. The right leg is inserted into the top of the triangle tip forward toward Uke and left leg with vigorous stamping infeed before right foot (Yonenaga showed up on the centerline.) When feeding back legs bend the knee. This leads to a reduction of the hips, with those then turn around and then come to the correct placement of the feet for Koshi-waza, Seoinage. Foots are good position for throwing, his hips are lower than the Uke's hips and the upper body is upright.

Yonenaga showed almost the same position in the legs when doing Tsukuri in Óuchigari. With the only difference being that the feets are not positioned to the top of the triangle, but closer to the Uke, on the hypotenuse (the junction Uke's feets).

Little is seen in this photo, but it is not totally denouncing what I wanted to convey. Please see Yonenaga's position of his feets - tip of the right foot facing forward to teh Uke, left foot (the tip of foot) stamping closer to the Uke than right foot and it is on the center line. The legs are bent at the knees, the hips are lower than the Uke and the body is straight.

ad 2 doing REI (bow) every time began and ended with exercise demonstrations with Uke
Bow to Uke is nothing neglected. Conversely, we could see a good (precise with grace) version of the bow always before and after demonstrations.

    Smiling, courteous and helpful Yonenaga

I watched the video with explanation of Morote Seoinage from Hamada Hatsuyuki.

濱田 初幸 HATSUYUKI HAMADA - MOROTE SEOI NAGE
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvDn3g9-OMk

Gen Yonenaga explained the same points with using the same or very very similary way (methods teaching, examples) as Hamada sensei. Hatsuyuki Hamada taught in Nippon Sport Science University in Tokio. It give me sense about similarities in their explanation.
