Judo Clubs in Tokyo for Foreigner Empty Judo Clubs in Tokyo for Foreigner

    Hi all,

I may be going to Japan next year and I was wondering if anyone knows of Judo clubs in Tokyo that would "welcome" a foreigner from Canada? I am 15 years old and will be a brown belt at the time of travel. I am a national level competitor and train very seriously and regularly.

    Thank you very much,

    SuperJudo12345 cheers

'Travel' for how long? Going to live in Japan or just visit?

With the right introduction, you can train a lot of interesting places. With a signup, anyone can train at the Kodokan.

With time, you can get the introductions. If you're just visiting for a couple of days or weeks, if you try beforehand you might be able to set up something interesting.

How many times would you wish to train in that 3 weeks?

If I where you I would visit the dojo of Koga Toshihiko-sensei. I cant recall the name of the dojo, but it is located in Tokyo. A few weeks ago i trained with one of his students. He said Koga-sensei welcomes foreigners to train in his dojo. And ofcourse you should visit the Kodokan, it's a place of great importance Smile
