    Hi,
I'm going to visit Paris next week. I would like to purchase a professional judogi (preferably adidas brand). I'm looking for names and addresses of professional Judo stores in Paris. I appreciate your help. Thanks! Smile

Paris has one of Europe's best known budo stores that has been in existence for decades. It's called SEDIREP. You can find its address using Google.

Do you know stores that sell Adidas suits?
From what I saw, the store you mentioned does not sell them, and it's and also important for me that the gi will be IJF approved.
    thank you

Most large 'junk' sports chains do, but stock will be limited. Many specialized judo/budo stores in Europe probably won't bother carrying something like Adidas. Adidas in Europe is a big name for soccer equipment, general sports clothing, and used to be a bit name for track and field back in the 1970s and 1980s before Nike in Europe, but they have virtually no experience with judo. If one only has money for a mainstream gi and one lives in France, I would imagine one would rather end up with a brand such as SFAM Norris. So, if Adidas is what you want, grab the yellow pages, look for a sports store chain, visit one, if they don't have it, visit a different chain.

    Aaaah Paris,

There is a dojo (with shop) on the rue de la Montagne-Sainte-Genevieve nr 34. Founded by one of the great Budo masters of France, Henry Plee.
One of the oldest dojo still operating I think. Don't know if they sell adidas but worth a visit.

    Happy landings.

    Johan,

I thought I was actually referring to that one, but then realized they are two different ones. The one you are referring to is Budostore, and is the one I was describing that has been in existence for decades:

    http://www.budostore.com/

As far as I know, and for the same reasons, they don't sell Adidas gi ! Very Happy

One has more chances for finding an Adidas gi in a soccer and basketball store than in a budo shop in Europe !

    Hi CK,

That is the one I mean. Whenever I am in Paris (which is all to infrequently lately) I try to visit it.
I absolutely love it there. Further down the rue there is a Tibetan restaurant (2 actually). The last time I shyed away from having lunch there for all I could see was beef, which I suspected to be Tongue of Yak. Next time I will be brave and try it.

    Happy landings.

I understand your predicament. Maybe what you need is a foretaster. I am willing to make myself available.

Paris, rain or shine, conersations, friends and wine
and that particularly lovely parisienne whom you can not understand completely but her eyes...
Memories, my memories, how long can you stay to haunt my days.

Tongue of Yak sounds better by the minute (from behind my officedesk at a very sunny day in Holland - summer finally arrived it seems).

    Happy landings.
