I don't understand what the product does. It mentions 'analysis' but does not describe or specify what kind of analysis: factor analysis, biomechanical analysis, blood analysis ? It seems that what it offers is merely some kind of registration device allowing you to put in numerical numbers of frequencies that something occurs in a match or for an athlete, something in the sense of athlete X obtained 4 ippon scores today, received 5 shidô against, and scored twice with seoi-nage. If this is what it does or allows then really the term 'analysis' is a misnomer although it certainly would not be solely responsible for this, as this misnomer is fairly well-spread in judo. In that case, contrary to 'analysis' we really are talking then about mere "descriptive registration". 'Analysis' really would involve measurement and de-constructing things to find responses to how and why.

Serious match analysis in judo is not that simple due to an infinite number of possibilities. Individual X in his fight with B could be attacking mostly with seoi-nage in a match that has a slow pace. This has little or no bearing on anticipating how the match of athlete X against athlete Z might be, who might have a totally different style and grip. It could well be that this turns out to be a high-paced match where X decides to attack mostly with harai-goshi or ô-soto-gari, or Z might be a newaza specialist resulting in a match that (assuming the IJF would still allow this) would entirely be spent in groundwork. Now how the heck could you have derived or anticipated that from the match of athlete X against athlete Y ?

This is obviously not an evaluation of the product mentioned in the first post, but if I correctly understand what it offers, then it is still a crucial and relevant concern. If I do not understand it correctly, then my suggestion would be to devote some serious attention to the commercial description of the product on the website. The text on the website is poor with typo's (for example: "choosse your athletes and your referee") and grammar mistakes, and editorial attention from a native speaker of English is recommended.
