Hey, guys Ilias Iliadis is one of the greatest judoka in history, and is arguably now in his prime. He's visiting US for a few seminars for the first time, and I got a chance to sit down and talk to him for 30 minutes. One of the simple takeaways from the interview for me is that if you want to be the best, you have to LOVE training, A LOT, day after day, for years. You really have to love being on the mat. There's no way around it, because in order to get good you have to put in the hours, and if your mind is not behind it, you'll quit when the it starts getting tough, either due to a big loss or a major injury.
