Looks to me to have one white end and one red end. I once ordered a kohaku obi from Sportsmaster, which had different ends, not to mention poor panel joins and patches of sun fading. I sent it back.

Maybe that's because it is designed for professionals ...

I wish they'd make up their mind ... is it designed for professionals or elite?

I fear that might be a secret only the professionals are privy to ...

Don't underestimate the manufacturers. Anyone offering a similar kôhaku obi but with velcro design yet ?  Also the rank should go on there printed in Roman numbers by preference accompanied by an embroidered picture of the holder and his name, like for example "Shihan Chucky"; note that the term 'shihan' should always precede the surname, and that its plural should be obtained by adding an '-s' at the end ...

Well said, Shihan CK XII. Actually, once you reach XII, doesn't that make you a soke, or is it soke shihan???

I trust Shihan Soleil will mark his rank with a suitably luminary gold belt, complete with name and numerals. Double-width would look good.
