Hey, I didn't write that ...

My signature is a quote from Kipling ... it includes the words "Judgment Seat" ... but neither Kipling nor I lean towards profession of any specific religious beliefs ... quite to the contrary.

Yet I noticed today that when I happened to see my post before signing on, which I understand is the "ad included" portion that makes this forum possible, that particular string of characters was hyperlinked to someone else's attempt to make money off of fear and superstition.  Before I resign myself to the inevitable "nothing we can do about it, it's all automatic and done by our advertiser's bots" ... might I please ask to have the hyperlink removed?  That will at least give me the illusion of an effort to stand up for my beliefs ... or lack of them.

I logged out on my computer and had a look and couldn't see the hyperlinks you are talking about. It may be something to do with my browser settings that stops the them coming up.

Anyway, I had a look in the admin side of the site and changed something. Can you have a look to see if it has removed the hyperlinks that you are seeing.

I've had another look at this and found this, Text enhance malware. The problem maybe with your web browser being infected.

Is anyone else seeing the problem that Bill is talking about?

I am the world's worst consumer - I never see ads unless they pop up in middle of the screen, and there are browser switches to cut those out, too. I have no idea what ads are on this forum, so they're all wasting their money pitching me.

Interesting. I have never seen an 'ad' on this forum. Ever. I think your dealing with a corrupted browser or OS....

There are no adds on the forum when you are logged in, I removed them a while back, but they are still there if you are logged out and viewing as a 'guest'.

Yes, that's exactly what happened ... I clicked on a link in an email notification of an updated posting ... and saw it before logging in.

Anyway ... gone now ... these seem to change every time.
