Cannot see title because of sticky pop-up ad. Cannot get rid of it. Please stop with the advertisements or you'll run everyone off.

Shouldn't be any adds when you are logged in. Even when not logged in the adds don't come up as a pop-up.

It seems to be fixed. It was a sticky ad that attached to the blue bar at the top and hiding some menu items. Weird. Hope it stays away.

You might want to make sure that your computer doesn't have any malware.

If my PC had malware then my post would have indicated that the pop-up showed up in other web sites, huh? It is a Snickers ad quite stuck to this forum and that would mean malware phishing was stuck to this site, eh?

There is an advertisement space near the top called "AdChoices" that is responsible for the "Milky Way" bar ads. The ad covers up some of the thread choices. Guess the web guys need the ad money, huh? Of course, soon enough we'll be paying for every web site and also their stinking SPAM as well.

What browser are you using? Fire Fox and Google Chrome have good ad blocking extensions, they'll get rid of most ads on any site.

Not always, but at times even when logged in. No malware, spyware no hacking going on here, just a sticky ad in the blue bar above than hides the first few thread headers. I will investigate later, the race is on.Carlo wrote:Are you getting the ads when you're logged in?

Carlo, for what it's worth I've always had a banner ad near the top of the page even when logged on. Not supposed to be there?

some browsers also don't scale popups well if you're zoomed in. Try resetting to normal / 100% scale and see what happens to the popups, menus etc.

I've just made some adjustments to the forum, no one should be getting ads when logged in now.
