Earlier this year, Komuro Kôji, known for his newaza skills and cross-training in BJJ was promoted to Kôdôkan 6th dan at the young age of 36 yrs and after having become a godan only 5 years ago at age 31 yrs. Komuro started jûdô at age 5 yrs.
