It seems to me that one of the underlying goals of this kata is to use force while maintaining your balance and posture. To me (right or wrong), this implies that if one participant suddenly "let go" the other would remain balanced and not go off flying in the direction in which they are pushing/pulling. When I look at the Ochai video, this seems to be true. I do not see that same type of balance in other Go no Kata videos, but it might just be me.
