I thought that was the case but he (the man on the left) has the grip and Neil Adams (on right) could turn and face him rather than turn his back (in the first example).

Shido white! It has to be to the guy on the left as his grips are stopping Neil from any positive judo, bearing in mind that Neil can no longer use a two handed grip break.
