    Congratulations and happy birthday to Toshiro Daigo Kodokan 10th Dan who is 90 years old today. Daigo-sensei has devoted a large portion of his life to judo. He was a fierce competitor in his youth, has been Kodokan Chief Instructor and is now revered for his Kata knowledge and mastery. He is also the author of a wonderful book and many scholarly articles.

    His book " Kodokan Judo Throwing Techniques " is the best book in English on the subject. It is being republished this year (2016).

    I hope he is able to enjoy many more birthdays.
