Hello, please have you for any information about visits or judo teachings from Kano In Switzerland? I found info that Kano visited Lausanne ( Pierre Coubertine) but no info about this teachings there. We found note from one czech judo pioneer where he described his remembering about practice judo in Switzerland and Kano Jigoro was there too. It could be between years 1930-1937. Thank you for any info

A quick search of the terms in Japanese doesn't show more than an 1890 trip during his stay in Europe.

Most likely Kano didn't visit Switzerland in the 30's.
The 50th anniversary puplication of Swiss Judo Federation in 1987 doesn't mention a visit by Prof. Kano.
Early Time Line of Swiss Judo:
- 1925 the student Hanho Rhi from Korea teaches Judo in Zurich
- 1930 The Judo and Ju Jitsu Club Zurich is founded
- 1934 teams of Frankfurt (Germany) and Zurich have their first international competition
- 1934 First European Championships in Dresden, Germany
- 1937 the Judo Clubs of Zurich, Basel and Geneva are founding the Swiss Judo Federation
- 1951/52 A Kodokan Delegation is visiting Switzerland: Kano Risei, Matsumoto Yoshizo and Daigo Toshiro
- in the 50's many japanese Judomasters are giving Judo demonstrations or summer camps in Switzerland

Anatol, thank you. Where Hanho Rhi learned judo? In Korea, in Japan?
I got picture from judo summer school in Frankfurt 1933, there are japanese and korean teachers from Europe ( Hanho Rhi (korean teacher from Swiss), Kitayama Junyu (not judo teacher in this time from Frankfurt/Germany), Masutaro Otani (Budokwai London), Yukio Tani (Budokwai Lononn), Msí Woolhouse(Budokwai London), Gunji Koizumi (Budokwai London), Ms. Poutell (Budokwai London) ( source FCB group British Judo History ) )
On this photo Gunji Koizumi looking to Ms. Poutell's bosom. It is nice moment. ( I would also look to Ms. Poutell's bosom in this time )

Dr. Hanho Rhi (german wiki entry - google translation)
Rhi was a nephew of South Korean President Rhee Syng-man. He studied from 1925 to 1936 at the Law Faculty of Economics at the University of Zurich. In 1927, Rhi first taught Judo in Switzerland and brought this martial art in the country. In 1929 he founded the first Jiu Jitsu School in Switzerland in Zurich, but he already taught a refined judo. Among his students from that period included, among others, Hans Hartmann and Robert Tobler. Rhi was instrumental in founding the Swiss Judo Association 1936/37 [and was its president from 1937 to 1940].
