Is it just me but I seem to be having the same problem of "singles" adds at the top of this forum as I was having with the old US forum. I have tried switching off all ad choices with no success. Is this part of the forum or is it google or some virus? Any help would be good as I hate this kind of ad

Re: Ads a the top of the forum
I'm constantly seeing ads about software for illegal file sharing. I find that ironic on a forum where the posting of copyrighted material will get the forum deleted.

I may be wrong with this, but I think what you see in the adds is to do with your search history. The adds I can see at the moment are related to domain names, which I have been searching for recently.

that's the thing though, I haven't downloaded any music in many many years. ironically it's mainly when I'm on the computers at school where I see that. I have a good ad blocker on my laptop, I don't see any ads at all.Dew wrote:Carlo wrote: I think what you see in the adds is to do with your search history. .

It may be part of the story, but I think it's also based on your location. I got a ad for my old uni just now, and another one for physiotherapists in Oslo area :-p
