    February 9, 10, 2013 - Save the date for the 65th Annual San Jose Buddhist Judo Club and 21th "Sensei Memorial" Invitational Judo Tournament.

    On Saturday, February 9, 2013, we plan to host a workout/clinic tentatively scheduled for 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Uchida Hall, about a block away from the tournament venue. The tournament will be held on February 10, at the San Jose State University Event Center.

    On Saturday, February 9, 2013, we will also host a referee clinic and testing by USA Judo "A" referees to update us on the 2013 rules and interpretations. Tentatively, it will be from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM across the courtyard from the venue.

    Tournament registration will be held at the SJSU Event Center from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 9, but we will have satellite weigh-in for non-blackbelt pools in San Jose, San Francisco, Sacramento, Fresno, Gardena and tentatively Baldwin Park on Thursday, February 7.

    Registration form for the "Sensei
    Memorial" Workout/Clinic is now available www.sjbjudo.org. The Workout/Clinic will
    be at the SJSU Judo Team dojo now located at the Spartan Complex room
    218. Clinicians will be Shintaro Nakano (SJSU assistant coach), Aiko
    Sato (2011 World Champion), SJSU Judo team assistant coaches, and members
    of the SJSU Judo team. ($20 mat fee made out to Cenco)

    Reminder: Deadline for mail-in pre-registration
    for the "Sensei Memorial" is postmark by January 31, 2013
    and on-line pre-registration deadline is February 3, 12 midnight. Both must
    weigh-in on Saturday, February 9, 2013 or non-blackbelts may weigh-in at official
    satellite weigh-in centers. To weigh in at satellite locations you must
    pre-register and bring your paperwork and registration card to the weigh-in
    center.
