Doyukai festival

The Doyukai (Society for the Friends of the Way) is a society of serious judoka who are dedicated to preserving many of judo's seldom seen kata, including both ura-waza kata and also the Go-no-kata. They hire the Kodokan for many of their events.

Great to see those older judoka (up 30/40 years), most of them kodansha, doing naturally Kodokan Kata. No robot or compition-judo-kata seen!

As seen before in the katabook (1954) of Yves Klein, in this old Koshiki-no-Kata film we see already the diagonal technics of no. 5-8. Ck wrote before that Kotani sensei changed this after Mifune sensei died. Who knows more?

Again i saw the fast action after the left Tomoe Nage into the attack for Ura Nage. Why is this? Why only at this moment in the Nage no Kata?
