The course was shortened to 6 days, including the final demo / test day.
The instruction was much improved - everything was timely, and executed on time.
Interpretation was mostly well done; clearly the interpreters, with a couple of notable exceptions, were prepared, and following the instructor with materials to help them keep their position and to recall the main points. A couple of interpreters did so without preparation or access to instructional material, and their performance was markedly inferior. Overall much improved, still plenty of room for more improvement.
Informal poll on my part and unsolicited comments indicate much more positive comments on the organization and interpretation. Almost 100% said much better than in the past.
Wireless mics were used extensively, with most of the instructors using wireless headsets / hands free mics, and that mostly worked well.
Senior KDK leadership attended often and for long periods - Uemura kanchô, etc. were hanging around, interacting, available for photos, paying attention to instruction, etc.
The weather mostly cooperated - not as hot as normal this time of year.
The main dojo was crowded, and there were a couple of accidents when someone got thrown into another's legs. Later they thinned out the near 300 by sending half to the 6th floor dojo.
Overall much better than my personal previous experiences.
