Matt is also 2007, 2011 and 2012 judo British Championships winner, 2012 Commonwealth Judo Championships winner, and has since beat 2012 London Olympian, Chris Sherrington at the 2013 judo British Championships to secure gold.
Matt is hoping to get to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.
