    Judo Research Empty Judo Research

Post by DMJudo Wed Mar 13, 2013 3:32 pm

Hey I am graduate student in psychology and Judo player. I am doing research about judo players' perception of athletic ability. I am hoping that you could take this short survey 5-10 minutes. I am hoping to get as many Judoka as possible from white belts to advanced players.
If you are a Judo player at least 18 years of age (from any skill level) and would like to participate, click on the link below and your will be directed to the online survey: http://edu.surveygizmo.com/s3/918186/Sport-Psychology-Project Thank you very much in advance for you time. Please feel free to pass on this link to other people who might be eligible. This study was approved by Pacific University’s Institutional Review Board.

    Done.
Please post this on the site below as well. It is a 'grappling' sub forum and you may find a few respondents there as well. You may have to bump the topic now and again as threads scroll off really fast there.

the question about shiai results just made me roll my eyes. Anybody who's done more than a handful of shiai isn't going to list all results - absurd. Most of us aren't going to remember what we did 5 years ago let alone 15 years ago, let alone waste the time trying to write down results.

The questionnaire also didn't take into account change over time, especially as we age within judo.

Otherwise, meh, I did it. I think my answers will skew the results the researcher's looking for, but don't open it up to all of us if you don't want a few of us coming along and skewing things left right and center.

I have the same feelings as Stacey, the questions don't really work for those of us who have been around a long time. Still, good luck with the project.
