Just heard on the news. A true giant of the 20th century. May he truly rest in peace.

Yeah... funny mood in the country. Mixture of happy and sad. Happy his suffering is over, sad he is finally gone.
I live near the area he will be buried in and don't look forward to all the hype. Just wish his passing will be dignified as he was.
Absolute legend
I was telling my daughter earlier that most people simply don't understand the impact he had. Most (especially young) people in our country know who he is but don't really know the feelings those touched by him have. Not making much sense here I think...
I was an "apartheid era" policeman and can talk from experience of the profound change he had on the whole country. At one point he was a "terrorist" to me. Go figure.
Fortunately eyes get opened, truths are revealed.
The likes of him will never be seen again.
