Mizuno ichiban question Empty Mizuno ichiban question

So I know they are discontinued and all but what were the cuts like with these guys?I found a place with some old stock left at deeply discounted prices. I really enjoy the thicker but super soft old school mizunos I see around the dojo and thought this guy might be what I've been looking for. Looking at getting a 3.5, I'm 177cm and 81kg... Thoughts? Photos? Thanks!

Sorry Heisenberg! They actually just contacted me today and said that they were in fact wrong about their supply! Despite me asking 3 times to 3 different people whom all confirmed they had them in stock.... pretty bummed, looks like ill be picking up another shiai.

a friend has an ichiban. they call it "the cheese grater." if soft is your thing, you're not missing out by getting another shiai.

Having had two Mizuno Ichiban I can attest to the above, They're definitely NOT soft, "cheese grater" is a more appropriate term! Laughing

I just got a ichiban hand me down from my coach. He didn't like the cheese grater feeling and tighter fit, but I like it. Not as baggy as my Shiai. It fits more like a bjj gi in the body. I guess i comes down to preferance of either the baggy traditional gi vs. tighter, rougher, European fit. I'm going to get another one if I ever come across a size 4 again.

Hatashita sports was advertising Ichibans completes at $99 and blue Ichiban jackets only for $50 in the last few days. They may still have some if anyone is interested.

Good look on that! Thanks! I forget to check my facebook a lot of the time. I just sent them a email to see if any 4 or 3.5 are left.

Too bad I have a brand new 5.5 that is a little big for me that I am selling. It's brand new in a package. I got it as a gift so if anyone wants one let me know.
