Hi All,
I got a couple of weeks off driving to judo training which has been lovely, but my judoka is starting to drive me crazy now so I am looking forward to the club restarting.
Son was given a set of resistance bands and a hand exerciser thing that is supposed to help grip strength. I don't know if either of them will help, but he is using the bands in a variety of ways - lots of doorhandle uchikomi going on....

good to see you made the jump judomum,
ive got two bicycle inner tubes tied round a tree in the garden, and those powerball things my brother swears by for increasing grip (should note he's a rugby player not a judoka)
and ive got my lovely fighting films judo hoodie on from crimbo

Hi Rob
ah, he got a Blitz hoody as well...
The grip thing has sprung bits for each finger, will probably be something he'll lose in his bedroom, but the resistance bands seem to be useful - until he starts breaking door handles

Resistance bands are great for solo training. I love setting up a couple of bricks in a V formation to simulate opponents feet at the base and doing drills with the bands. Glad to see you came to the new site!

My girlfriend got me my first pair of cufflinks... not the way I imagined my first pair would look, but still an awesome gift!

I should have clarified - I got a new ACL installed.
I know everyone's experiences are different, but I've been blessed with minimal pain; maybe because I waited almost 3yrs between tearing it and getting the op. Maybe just damned lucky

We got our daughter a tablet. I'm going to pinch it
and see if I can find an android judo score board. Does anyone know of one?
