Don Werner 7 dan of Pinewood Judo Club has died

The BJA have announced that Don Werner, the driving force behind Pinewood Judo Club near Brackenell in the UK has died.  Don produced a conveyor belt of elite competitive judoka at both junior and senior level, including the former World Champion and Olympic Silver Medallist, Nicola Fairbrother.

Sad news indeed.
The famous leather coat is no more.
My condolences go out to all his family, friends and all the judoka who's lives he has been involved with.
